Late Night Poetry Cabaret with Rachael Allen, Zaffar Kunial Daisy Lafarge and Calum Gardner.

Once again Dobwalls’ own poetry star Rachel (Faber New Poets, Poetry Editor for Granta, founder of clinic press) brings a selection of cutting-edge poets to the Moor.

Zaffar was born in Birmingham and lives in Hebden Bridge. He published a pamphlet in the Faber New Poets series in 2014 and spent that year as the Wordsworth Trust Poet-in-Residence. Since his first public reading, of ‘Hill Speak’ at the 2011 National Poetry Competition awards, he has spoken at various literature festivals and in programmes for BBC radio, and won the Geoffrey Dearmer Prize for his poem ‘The Word’.

Daisy lives in Scotland. In 2017 she received an Eric Gregory Award, and her first pamphlet 'understudies for air' (published by Sad Press), was selected as a book of the year by The Poetry School and The White Review. She is currently working on a novella based on her time shadowing a veterinary research team in rural Tanzania.

Calum is a poet, critic, itinerant poetry teacher, editor of Zarf magazine, and (with Gloria Dawson) co-organiser of the Zarf poetry reading series in Leeds. Their poems have been published in places such as Adjacent PineappleamberfloraFront Horse, and Poetry Wales.
